Precision Cleaning and Particulate Removal
Today's parts, whether they are metal, glass, plastic or ceramic are often machined or stamped to precise dimensions. Production lubricants, dust, fingerprints or other residues must be removed prior to subsequent processing or assembly.
Quality standards on finished components may require black light, particle count, water break, or other analysis to confirm cleanliness.
Cleaning the parts quickly and efficiently, without causing damage or introduction of foreign matter, is a common challenge to all manufacturing.
Halogenated solvent cleaning is a preferential choice as it utilizes a non-flammable, synthetic solvent that is thermally stable and dissolves hydrocarbon lubricants, silicones, and fluorinated greases (i.e. - Krytox® and Fomblin® ). Halogenated solvents also are low in viscosity and surface tension, which allow them to get into tight crevices and wet the part, cleaning and displacing stubborn soils.
